The people who work in the school transportation sector devote themselves every day to ensuring our children’s safety. In practically any weather, and under all circumstances, these people get behind the wheel to drive children of all ages to school. Their duties include seeing to the safety of their passengers and of other drivers on the road. Their job includes information, prevention and discipline, a little-known aspect of their responsibilities.

School transportation is too often the “invisible” component of the education system. In all of the reforms, cuts and reallocations in recent years, school transportation workers have rarely been considered.

The SQEES-298 (FTQ) accompanies this sector in its struggle for better working conditions. We speak on their behalf before public authorities and fight a pitched battle at every negotiating table.
